A little privacy.

Google Analytics only loads after you choose “Allow analytics”. It records visits and basic technical information to help Heath understand how people use the site. Advertising personalisation and enhanced measurement are switched off.

The site sends the page title and page address without query strings or fragments. It does not send your archive questions, searches, recommendations or private inbox contents to Analytics. The private inbox is excluded from Analytics.

Your choice is remembered on this device for six months. You can change it using “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of the page. Choosing “No thanks” stops Analytics on this site and removes its first-party cookies. This does not delete data already collected.

Google processes the data under its own policies. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

The music archive also uses a first-party session cookie to support questions and prevent recommendation spam. Music questions and film genre descriptions may be sent to OpenAI when AI interpretation is enabled; listening records, viewing history and Letterboxd reviews stay on the site. The AI matcher translates descriptions to broad genres, then the site selects films using Heath’s recorded ratings. The film and TV collection is a fixed public snapshot. Poster images load from TMDB.

Concert videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. Video thumbnails are hosted on this site. YouTube only connects when you press play; it then receives information such as your IP address and may store information on your device. Its privacy policy applies. This is separate from your Analytics choice. You can also open a video directly on YouTube.

The Places map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap when you view it. Its servers receive your IP address and requests for the map areas you view. Photo images are hosted on this site. Map tile requests are separate from your Analytics choice.
